You’ve been trying to figure it out ... and something still feels stuck.
You can explain it, but you still cant feel it. That’s the part we work with.
You’ve tried to understand it.
And still, something feels stuck.
It shows up in your body, a lot of the time; the anxiety, the tension, the emptiness and the disconnection.
Not because you’re doing anything wrong.
Because your body is still holding it, tight.
This is what unresolved trauma, chronic stress, and years of people-pleasing actually look like in the body. And it's far more common than anyone talks about.
You're not imagining it.
Not because something is wrong, but because of what you had to learn early on.
To push through.
To put yourself last.
To keep going, no matter what.
And now it lives in your body.
The anxiety.
The tension.
The disconnection.
A persistent feeling of never quite being at home in your own skin.
A feeling of not quite being at home in yourself.
This isn’t a flaw.
It’s your nervous system doing what it learned to do —
it just hasn’t caught up yet.
Somatic therapy goes beyond talk therapy to work with what your nervous system has actually been holding
In sessions we get curious about what your body is already telling us. We track sensation, bring awareness to where you hold tension, and create the kind of nervous system safety that allows real healing to happen — not just insight, not just coping, but actual embodied change.
Here's what somatic therapy actually makes possible:
Feeling genuinely settled instead of constantly bracing. Reconnecting with pleasure and sensation without shame. Finally knowing what you actually want — and who you are underneath all the layers. Setting boundaries without the guilt spiral. Noticing an old trigger and actually having a choice about how you respond.
Feeling at home in yourself — maybe for the first time.
If something in you recognized itself reading this — trust that. Women find their way here when they're ready to stop overriding what their body has been trying to tell them.
Trauma-informed somatic therapy sessions available in-person in my cozy Centennial, CO office and virtually across Colorado.
Coming home to your body and finally feeling safe there.
I’ve spent over 20 years working with women’s bodies — as a somatic movement and pelvic floor practitioner, Pilates instructor, and now as a somatic therapist. This isn’t a career pivot. It’s a calling.
Before therapy, I worked with women in their bodies — noticing what stress and past experiences were holding.
How it shows up.
How it lingers.
How it has to go somewhere.
That’s still at the core of how I work today.
I weave together trauma-informed pelvic floor work, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and other body-based approaches to gently access what’s been held long before there were words for it — the places where trauma lives in the nervous system and in the body’s deeper patterns.
Because healing doesn’t happen in pieces. It happens when your whole self finally feels seen. And I’ve spent a long time learning how to help you get there.
Whether you’re seeking therapy for women, couples therapy, somatic therapy, anxiety therapy, or support during midlife transitions, therapy here can help you feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced.
